I live in Lincoln, but I am from Omaha and I know that the Military Road is very curvy out that way and would be a lot of fun. I just bought a KLX 250 SF and I am getting acquanted with it.

Those look awesome, You'll have to take it down some gravel roads and let me know how the street tires perform. I would assume it might be a little scary (especially in the deeper piles), but even with the dirt tires I kinda feel like I'm skiing some times.

Yea I'm not a big fan of gravel either, it will make your butt pucker. I just ride slower on gravel, certainly less than 40 mph depending on the road. Even automobiles can be a bit squirrelly on gravel. The street tires are just fine on dry dirt though. Heck I've even ridden through deep grass near Branched Oak Lake, didn't have any problems. However on pavement from 0 to 50 mph the bike is very fun. I don't particularly like riding the bike over 65 mph because with the wind in Nebraska and the 75/80 mph being about the max speed I prefer not to push my maching or myself beyond resonable limits. I have had it up to 75 but I haven't tried to max out on the speed. Plus I weigh 220.

My bike is stock, have you made any modifications?

Gravel is fun, put a foot down in the corners and give it a hand full of throttle. Let the *** end slide a little. Before long you will love the feel.
