Anything you do that adds weight will make the 250 work harder

The Shinko's are much lighter than the stock tires, whereas HD tubes are only a little heavier than standard tubes. In the end you will be lighter overall anyway.

I hope lighter doesn't equal crappier, lol. The 605s took an awesome beating off road on the rocks and branches. The 244s should be here Wednesday...I should be hitting some dirt this weekend so we'll see what happens!

I think you'll be happy with your choice - I have been.

If only they said something cooler than "Golden Boy" on the sides...

I've got 4k on my last 244 with 80/20 street/dirt.

I just slapped a 241 on and like it better in the dirt and gravel. Hope it lasts as long.

I usually don't buy the Chinese stuff but these shinkos seem at home on my klx.

Have some new 'trials' tires (MT43) front and rear, set to 13 PSI each.
Was on an ADV ride, on mud, gravel, sand, pavement, rock. Felt fine on pavement and rock, HATED them on the rest... going to switch back to knobbies. Some riders on DR350/400s say they love the D606.

D606 looks legit, especially if you ride a lot of dirt. I wasn't sure what to go with so I just got these. Anyone know the life expectancy on the 606s?

I'm impressed with the Golden Boy rear and Trackmaster 2 front combo for a 50/50 setup. No issues on the street or the dirt. Again this is a 50/50 setup that works. On my second set. The Shinko seems to last longer than the Kenda version.

I'm running the Shinko 244s front and rear now with about 2,000km of mostly street with some dirt. I find them just fine in both situations except washout on sand corners. Also, they have started to howl on the highway. Earplugs can fix that!
