I believe there are options for replacing/relocating the over flow tank.
I have thought about ditching it but ........................

I don't see how it would work with the EFI model. The pump feed comes from within the tank and the output pressure would just force the fuel back into the Aux tank.

I agree, can't see it working.

I'm not too concerned since I don't plan on beating on it enough to warrant overheating and if you guys couldn't do it with the 351's, I don't think I'll be able to do it stock
I've previously rerouted mine to become another drain line, however, I am now running the small bottle we will provide. I have it hose clamped to the frame as I mentioned. I'm trying it out to see if it's dependable. It's hot out here now, it's been 100F for several days. I'm going to be riding in stop and go traffic to see about this catch tank. It is a concern.
I've considered a heated mold that I can stick that stocker in and squash it to the shape that will fit. J/K

This is where they put the expansion bottle in Japan.

Thanks, mate.

We are supplying a bottle that can be tucked in several places, so don't worry about that. It's only really the helmet lock that is displaced.

I should apologize about the 1.1 tank for the '09, we ran into an issue with the bracketry. The frame tapers with the new rear plastic section, and that meant a new aft bracket. The middle bracket has to have a rubber lined frame clamp added to it, and the location of the front bracket is changed also. So, I'm in the process of also building a separate weld jig to make the different set-up but on the same tank.

Bill will be in Colorado for the next 10 days, but I will continue to get it built. We WILL have it for the '09's. I changed the website to reflect this delay.

We spent 2 hours sitting on the floor at our local Kawasaki/Honda/Moto Guzzi dealer, while having a brand new '09 all taped up with masking tape so we could mess with this stuff yet not put a single scratch on it. It was ...interestin'...
A big thank you to Motorsports Honda/Kawasaki in Wichita for their assistance.

I'm withdrawing the 1.1 tank from production.

It's a complicated business bringing products to the marketplace, and you always hope to have something come to fruition, but this isn't one of those products.

You would have to shut off the stock fuel pump when you switch to the aux tank and close a valve too so when you turn on the pump from your aux tank it would not just fill the stock one. Could be done with the proper relays, another fuel valve and fuel pump with the right pressure.

All you have to do is, send the supply fuel from the stock tank, to the cap on the aux tank (unvented) so they are in series. Stock tank feeds aux.tank which feeds FI unit. Aux tank would be pressurized then?????
would the fuel pump make pressure pumping dry???

So the aux tank always stays full and you have that extra gallon of weight in the azz end of the bike at all times. Workable from a fuel flow persprective, but I'm not sure I like the entire package
