Default Automatic Compression Release

This week I removed the exhaust cam because both exhaust valves were a little tight (.001 tighter than spec.)

I bored out 3/4 split collar to .865 clamped it on the non-bearing part of the cam and used an arbor press and removed the automatic compression release.

And the plan so far is to leave it off, it weighs nearly as much as the cam!!

I get into the cams again and I will be removing it too. Bike starts fine with it disabled for me and for others here. It was just a remnant of the past kick start only KLX250/300 that should have gone away.
