Went with the DynoJet kit on recommendation of local dealer mech.
After reading many jetting posts here and elsewhere I went with the dyno 120 main (127.5 stock equiv.), primarily because both EMS and IDRIDR experienced rich running conditions with larger jets?
Also have the clip on 3rd notch on dyno needle (couldn't decide between 2 & 3, flipped a coin)?
I'm now running the HMF Performance slip on with the top of the airbox removed.
Installed Kouba T handle extended replacement screw. Two turns out?
Any reasons to stop before putting it back on the bike?
Thanks for all the help.
Rob

Thats the sock displacement right? I would go one leaner main jet, and clip second position down.

Eric, according to the conversion chart:
118 DynoJet = 125 Kawasaki
120 DynoJet = 127.5 Kawasaki

I have the 120 DynoJet main in now.
Do you think this will be too rich?
We ride at the same elevation.

DynoJet recommends 128 DJ main (137.5 Kawasaki) DJ needle position 3.

"DynoJet recommends..." yes they do. And some guys here apparently made that work. I would give the 120 a try and see how it goes.

IDRIDR:
Thanks man.
I'm going with the DynoJet 120.
What do you think about the needle on the 3rd clip?

I had the 125 main in my bike, second clip position, stock pilot, 2.5-2 turns out. Ran good. Either one. Its a good start.

I followed the Dynojet instructions for stage 2 which is perfomance exhaust and air box mods which is where your at and it was fine on the first try. I may be slightly rich but that's better than maybe lean by a mile.

Good to know you nailed it first time out. My luck would have to drastically change for that to happen for me.
I've been known to over analyze things.
What I took from a conversation with the DynoJet engineer is that the instruction is for the KLX 300 not the 250.
I'm going to start a little leaner and work my way up to where you are.
Thanks for your response.
