Default Anyone using a Scotts w/ oversize bars?

I'd like to go with this setup, and am assuming I'll also need an aftermarket upper tripple clamp to accept the oversize bars and the Scotts damper. Anyone else have this setup and can you offer any tips? Any issues? I see the key switch is attached to the top tripple?
Thanks.

You an oversized man on an undersized bike? Lots of guys here are triple my size and are fine. Planning on tripples? Your in trouble. Steering dampners are for outragously fast good pro racers that can bend 43mm forks and they are not riding KLX250S's. Oh and they dont have keys.

Besides the dampner kit is the price of a big bore.

If your going to want use pro tapers and a scotts stabilizer your going to have to run a klx300 aftermarket top triple clamp.

I'm not sure if it fits a klx250s ... you will have to ask someone who knows better.

Stock 09 triple clamp mounted scotts here:

With all due respect to Niven, stearing dampers have been judged to be one of the ten most significant improvements to motorcycles in the last 40 or more years, as judged by Dirt Rider magazine. They will benefit any off road rider riding at any significant speed. Whether you are blasting down a sandy wash or more carefully picking your way over a rocky stretch of trail, a stearing damper will help you significantly in maintaining control of the bike.

I have the Pro Taper Contour bars with the fat bar adapters on the stock triple clamps of an '09. I would also like to know what stearing damper might work with this set-up.

If you can go fast and furious enough on a KLX250S in the desert to require a steering dampner I will personally sign you to a sponsored ship ride. With all due respect of course.

My last desert bike was a XR650, worth 6 figures, had no dampner.

Dampner? Is that one of those moist towlets?, LOL... The main reason I want one is that my bike is somewhat unstable at speed. From my understanding, this was fixed with the 2009's by changing the rake/trail and the suspension. I've ridden many dirt bikes on the road and I'll have to admint that this one scares me a little at anything over about 50 mph. A slight quick tug on the bars, and the whole bike wobbles !!! So far, it has not been real bad, but I don't ever want to find out.
Thanks.
