Brian, not only does it come disassembled, the majority of washers, shims and clips do not even come in bags with part #s, it took me two beers to identify each part and label it using measuring calipers.
Doh! Sorry about that, I would have thought for sure that thing would come as an assembly.

Hope you get it figured out - like I mentioned I'd very much like a kickstarter, but can't quite justify it just now. I'll probably be adding one eventually though. Hopefully we'll have your install tutorial to help us. Isn't trail blazing fun ?

Good luck!

I have an idea... Just buy this whole bottom end off eBay and that way you don't have to deal with all the bits and pieces!
KLX 300 Bottom End

Oh, and you have to buy the kicker arm separate...
Kicker arm

Hi,

After a long hiatus from motorcycles, I'm considering purchasing one of these bikes and this thread brings me to this question. If the battery goes dead like this, can't one just bump start it by pushing it or rolling it down a hill?

I know when I'd get in trouble in junior high, to punish me, my parents would remove the kickstarter from my Suzuki RM80. When they'd leave for the day, I'd simply push start it and be on my way.

Good Luck JB1, I offered to pay my dealership to install the kickstarter and they could or would not give me a price to install it. WTF We'll do it time and matererials, yeah right!

Just wait a little, and I'll figure this out and post instructions.....I hope
Sounds great, I allways prefer turning my own wrenches on everything I own [sm=hail.gif]

btw...push starting a RM80 down the driveway is alot easier than push starting this bike in the woods/sand/dirt/mud

You can push start it, or roll start it but with 11 to 1 compression 3rd gear is preferable otherwise the rear wheel just locks, even on the road with road tyres. I had it lock all the way down a steep cement drive in 2nd trying to roll start mine, left a liquorice strap down my sisters drive lol
