Yeah, Street is out, here is his call-in from yesterday:

He did awesome until the injury, but his get off aggravated an injury he took last June and they concluded that he just would not be able to hold onto the bike at the intensity and duration that they ride all day long, and would risk further injury or a worse crash.
He gave it a heck of a run, staying in 2nd overall for most of the time he was there which is pretty incredible for a privateer guy against the nearly infinite budgets of the factory teams. He got their attention, that is for sure, same with his team, Team Rally Pan-Am http://www.rallypanam.com/ . They proved that they can run with the best of the best and have the know-how to put together a top tier team. With the excellent exposure they received in this race, I'm sure they will be better funded next year. They got some really great coverage for their sponsors.

Have you been following Simon Pavey? He seems like a really cool guy - I read his account of the 2006 Dakar in Charlie Boorman's book. Simon's the man!
