Anyone do Smog Removal on '09 or Newer?

This is simply not true. The only bikes with the canister are from California. Kawasaki says they are “50 State Legal” because they add that crap to the California models and the California models only. It is cheaper for them to add that to just California bikes then to add it to all of them when it is not necessary for rest of the world. That is why you can’t buy a bike outside of California and bring it in. So take a look at the previous owner and I bet it was from California.
Anyways from what I understand the canisters can be removed and the hoses from the tank need to be longer then routed down next to the rear shock.

Yes, fits '09 and up fine. I have an 09 model.
It just covers the place where you remove the smog device on the front of the engine.

Yeah... we're the "lucky" ones who got CA models (new) in Utah. Makes me feel real special...

Hate to answer my own question but... I found these in my search for more info. Funny thing is I found them through a Google search... searching the forum (what I did before posting this thread) didn't yield anything helpful. Go figure?

I'll be ripping all that cr@p out of mine this weekend. Even though there's no performance to be gained, I count any decrease in pipe temp (especially when riding on 100+ degree days) a definite plus!!!
