Default Any Traffic Light Devices out there

Boy ohhhh Boy

Ive got lke 3 stuborn lights in my town right by my house......Gotta be weight of magnet typea sensor....So bad 12 cycle riders sat at a light for 10 mintutes before I got off my bike and dropped the kickstand and pushed a crosswalk button to trigger the light......At the same time a police officer drove by and we asked to go through the red light......

Anyone know of any good light trips for signal lights......I know I can drive another route but sometimes you just end up where you end up..........

Rocco.........

Not being ablt to trip lights speaks volumes for our clearance. other than dragging a metal block.. or triggering with a strobe (illegal), nothing comes to mind.

Stick a magnet to steel toe shoes. Just a thought since I ride with steel toe shoes.

Usually, I run them. Not literally, just yield, check traffic, and go when clear. But only when you have been waiting for a long while.

I like the strobe idea...lol

Lately I come to a light shift the bike in neutral and throw the kickstand down.....Lean and wait.......

there is a magnet sold for this very reason but i havent tried it yet cause its $20.
you can find it on ebay, bike shops or just google stop light triger and it should pop up.

In SC, we're ALLOWED BY LAW to run them if they don't turn in 2 minutes. Sucks clocking lights, but at least we're allowed to do so. New law here that started early summer.

Thank GOD the signal light 200 feet from my house changed from a weight/metal trigger to a motion sensor unit that picks up motorcycles very well. Most lights here in our area that are high volume are switching to motion sensor cameras.

Normally, if there isn't a cop, I just run it if it doesn't trip. Can't just sit there forever.

Pretty sure it's legal in IL to run a light after a reasonable amount of time. I do. I usually let the light cylcle twice, and go. I've wondered about those magnet things.
