Default Another happy ending

No not that kind, I took the bike to the shop last week along with the TW200 for a friend, he was getting the bike serviced, and I was dropping mine off to get the valves checked. Well they just called and both bikes are done. They said my valves were perfect, but they did notice that the tensioner was a little noisy, so they changed it for me. I asked what the cost for my bike was going to be. The parts guy said its covered. As in warranty work, They have only had the bike since Friday afternoon and they are closed on Monday so really less than three days and the bike is already done. It looks like that extra 4 year warranty is already starting to pay off. They even saved the old tensioner for me to keep. I swear out of all the guys on here I must have the best dealer. I mean they are always ready to fit me in in a hurry, but also get things done with a fast turn around. I'm really liking them more and more each time I visit. Oh sure I'm not buying $8,000 race bikes and spending a lot of money every time I stop by, but they sure make me feel like I'm the best customer they have ever dealt with. I have to tell you that in my book is worth a lot. Well Tomorrow I head in to pick up the bikes, do a little grocery shopping for our weekend trip half way home at a summer camp that I went to when I was 12. I haven't been there since, and am looking forward to the camping trip. About 50 friends and family are renting the whole place on the lake. And the cost? For two nights and 4 meals a grand total of $20.00 a person for the whole weekend, that's the cabins and the meals, you can't beat that. And if the weather is nice I might just ride the KLX from the shop to the lake, its only 30 miles. Its all coming together now. Don't you just love when that happens?

Disclaimer: If anyone has had a bad experience with the their dealers, I feel for you. Or at least I'll try.[8D] Have a great weekend.

I guess I could include a couple of pictures of Lake Crescent for you so you can imagine how much fun I'll be having.

Hmmm this picture was taken by a guy I know, cool.

Here's one of a car at the bottom of the lake, there are probably 30 0r 40 cars at the bottom, along with an ambulance and a few log trucks. There is also the car ferry and a train. The lake is at least 600 ft in the deepest spot. it goes from 2 ft to 100 instantly. We actually lived there when I was 12, our cabin was literally on the lake, as in the cabin was completely on stilts. Weird feeling but as a kid it was cool.

Its like I'm going home........I gotta go, I got something in my eye...again.

There is also a story about a guy that killed his wife and sank her in the lake. Yea here it is. Good old campfire story. Its supposed to be true.

The "Lady of the Lake,"a storyabout a woman who was murdered in 1937. Her body, nearly preserved and turned to soap by the cold, alkali-salted waters of the lake, surfaced three years later and provided the evidence needed to finger her husband.

Oh, Lake Crescent is home to two species of fish - the Beardslee and Crescenti trout - which are unique to this lake in all of the earth. They are not the stuff of legend - you can catch and release them if you want and they are officially classified.

We stayed thereovernight a couple of years ago and it's about as beautiful as it gets. The ranger said there is also land locked salmon but he called it by another name. Of course we will expect a picture of you taking a swim.[&:]

Been there a few times too. We were told that they use the water from Lake Crescent as the "base-line" or zero pollutants for water quality testing, and that lake dwellers just pump the water straight into their homes-no filtering needed. Beautiful area.

Yea its too bad the park would rather not even let anyone use the area. 8 years ago jet ski users got banned, and 4 years ago they changed the lake to catch and release only. I'm sure they are heading toward no motorized boats, stinking Park. Oh well.[:@] Next thing you won't even be able to look at the water as you drive around.
