We've been preparing our club's riding place for our annual state circuit enduro next Sunday. Of course, after working there's always time for riding. With about 200 members there's always someone to ride with. This place has about 90 miles of trail, and it has lots of nasty, rocky places, but it has some fast, tight, swoopy trail too...a little bit of everything. We were too busy in the gnarly sections to stop and take pics, so I only got one from the highest point on the property where we stopped for a break. The kid on the XR100 was a bit of a surprise. His dad rides a KTM520, but that kid was able to climb every gnarly section that we climbed with no problem on that bike. Those little XR's are tough, and he knew how to ride it.

I've been getting to ride and camp for 3 days at a whack most weekends. The weather's been darned nice most of the time. Today it was 75 with a nice breeze to blow the dust off the trail. I'll be heading out Wednesday morning for the rest of the week. I've been a member out at this location since '79. The family that owns the ranch are off road enthusiasts who've raced Baja. The gentleman who runs the ranch now has won class 3 seven times in the Baja 1000. There is also a 40 mile Baja track for trucks and dirt buggies. There are trials bikes locations all over the property, and there will be a national trails competition in April out there. So there are ATV's, UTV's, trials bikes, rock crawlers, baja style racers, mountainbikes, and of course dirt bikes. It has a little bit of everything.

 

It's good to hear there's still places like this. I'm gonna need a james bond license plate changer soon!

 

You're a lucky dog TNC!! It's not so much like work when you are doing something that you like. Stroker's right, it's nice to see that places like that are still around.
