RE: Another '09 Review
I loved the review!!!The extra wieght that the bike gaind is probably in many areas (Guessing???) such as in the spokes ( 10grams a spoke can add up in a hurry) from the spokes being larger that can add about 2Kg, What about the new swingarm It is probably heavier........ 7.2Kg is not that much.
As far as fuel milage I get about 55mpg stock

just watched the video, the swingarm is lighter the kawi man says. The cali model is heavier than non cali's. All I got to say is the '09 friggin rocks. It's surprising a lot of people I think when many thought it was going to be a better streetbike. Turns out, it may just be that, but it is also improved off-road as well. I couldn't be happier. Just installed the dj kit. I'll post in my own thread.

That 16lbs probably came from all the C.A.R.B. equipment needed for C.A. models.

But I'm still puzzled as to where the weight came from. Spokes not withstanding. Certainly the digital display is lighter than the '06-'07 model conventional speed and tach. Thoughts??

RE: Another '09 Review
you've got the spokes being larger, huge rear fender thing- it has to weigh a ton, the new headlight and surround- it's probably heavier, tank is larger in capacity so it is heavier, I don't know. Tbh, it doesn't feel any heavier than my '06 I had. The weight is a non-issue for me. Half the time weight claims are inaccurate anyways.
