Yeah, been watching those guys. They're good but believe it or not, they are not as good as the world's best trials guys. Not dissin' them either, because they have been very entertaining. My wife has been watching the whole program, and I get her to DVR a couple of the acts on this season's show...that's one of them.

They're OK..............
Nothing like top notch trials riders though........
Do it outside in creek beds, wet rocks, mud, tree roots, etc while under a time constraint and then it's mighty impressive.

Pat Smage, one of those two brothers, is one of the top riders in the US. He and Cody Webb have traded 1st and 2nd all year. I think he can hold his own with the Europeans too.
A couple years ago I rode the Bucky DS ride near Madison WI. There was a guy there riding it who only had one arm! It was amazing. After the ride the club put on a nice dinner, and I happened to find a spot across from this guy, Bill Smage. I talked to him all night, super nice guy. He got to telling me about his nephew Pat who was a top trials rider. I just met the guy, so I kinda took it all with the grain of salt. The next day I looked up Pat on you tube and sure enough there he was. I have run into Bill at a couple more DS rides. He now has a bike with a Recluse clutch to make things a little easier, but I still don't know how he does it, and I am still impressed to see him out there doing what he loves. I'd hate to arm wrestle the guy

Some of our club's riders have also gotten some high end trials bikes and are doing some competing at events and are having lots of fun. These things will climb just about anything. In this pic there is nothing altered or the camera tilted. He went nearly straight up after a turn that brought him to a near dead standstill.

Kind of hard for long rides.........with no seat.
