Unhappy All good things come to an end

It's time to bid farewell to my trusty KLX.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...&postcount=184

I've picked up a DR650.
I want to do a bit more distance type of off road and slab riding and 4 hours on the KLX at 110kph was a bit painful.

I'll be sad when it goes as I've really enjoyed having it.

Oh well,

Too bad.

You are one of the hard core KLX'ers.

Wouldn't it be nice to have the $$ to keep both bikes? I'm sure you know you'll miss the KLX at times, but anyone would agree, the big bike will be nice on the longer trips. Can you reach the ground? Put a pic of that pig up and check in on us here once in awhile.

You can regale us with tales of trips to destinations too far to imagine.

Happy Trails!!

Replacing the thoroughbred with a pig! Shame on you Neil.
Let's see her run up the Z track I'll have the camera ready.

Got these from my daughters bike, recon' they'll fit the pig.

$$ ain't the problem. Time and space are.
I will miss the KLX and you never know, it isn't sold yet and because I have it lowered and its been knocked around a bit, I may end up keeping it as no one wants it.
No I can't reach the ground.
I picked it up in Margeret River which is a 3 hour ride back to Perth. It was fine on the highway but stopping at lights was, errrr, done cautiously. I could just get one tippy toe down on one side with one cheek off the seat. And a slight puff of wind at the stop lights might have ended in tears.

I haven't taken the "pig" as you so kindly put it off road yet.
And I have yet to see anyone get up Z track.
I've been down it but never up.
Trainer wheel heh? Worth a try.

You may be right. Maybe I should hold off selling it until I try the 6fiddy off road.

Aw heck, neil...just get a Goldwing and be done with it if you're going to compromise your dirt riding that much with a DR.

Now you've turned to .....

You'll need some more reading material. This will keep you going for at least a week.
