Aftermarket Headlight on KLX
I own a 2009 KLX 250s and had an incident which shattered the entire assembly on my KLX. I had ordered the Trailtech x2 headlight to replace th old light and came into a problem with the ignition key assembly blocking a flush mount onto the bike.
Could anyone help me out on how I can get his to fit without taking the ignition key switch off and actually making it look flush and clean. I still would like to keep my ignition. Any help would be great!

Hey Doc, I can't help, because I did exactly what you are trying to avoid. I installed the X2 and part of my install was removing the ignition key switch. I still think you could mount the X2 up if you fabricated some brackets to hold the light out from the fork tubes.
What part of N. IL are you in? I'm in Rockford.

Aye, that was just the plan to use the original mount and dice it up a bit. Get it as close to the tubes as possible and let it settle there. I tested the position out and it looks clean and nice. I got my way around it.
You're also not too terrible far from me. Im just to the west of Rockford. In the Freeport area, we'll have to go for a ride when it begins warming up.

FHK does have some pretty halfway decent stuff, I get some good service there with all the bikes, even though Hammertime in Rockford has a bit more of a selection that suits my "offroady" needs.
Btw, I need some advice on how I should do the jetting on my bike when I get my dynojet kit, it still has the stock exhaust system, but in the future I plan on getting a full FMF exhaust. Just don't have all the funds for that right now, and have been looking for some deals. Opinion?
