You mean the only system offered by Big Gun for the 250? At least I think the only system offered. That'd be the one. It looks like stainless.
Oh, and this quiet insert they talk about, it MUST be the packing inside the can is it?

They changed from a ceramic coated head pipe to a stainless steel one last year. Maybe they buggered-up one of the bendson the new jig.

Yeah, mine's brand new. So it'd be stainless then. It fits good, just not exactly like a glove. Especially the mounts, when the back mount was attached, the more front mount bracket was about a half inch away from the bike from where it should have been. So I bent it a little and stuck 3 or 4 washers in between for spacers. Maby the pipe was the problem, but it seemed more the mounts that gave me a little hell. No big deal, it works now. Wasn't hard a fix.

Yeah, if I'd just checked when I installed to see that it was practically touching my airbox, I could have avoided the damage, but I was itchin' so bad to fire it up.Definitely an easy fix. I just bent the mounts, no washers... and yeah, loud as all hell. It must sound like a frickin' bazooka without the "quiet" insert. And, yeah again,I'm pretty surethe Big Gun Evo X is the only one that fits. Did I mention how fu#$ing loud this thing is? []

I put the HMF on mine and itprovidedbarely noticable power even with the carb jetting required to make it work.Still, fairly east way to increase power.

I'm confused - itprovidedbarely noticable power & fairly easy way to increase power.

Did the HMF muffler work? Was it loud? Was it worth the effort and expense?

By barely noticeable, it is not like night and day. HP went up from 18 to 19 or 19-1/2. Fuzzy.
I was able to get a wheelee easier in first gear.It had more speed on the freeway.
The sound was significantly louder, but the pipe came with an incertable silencer tube. So it's not too bad sound wise.

Just an update on installing my Big Gun. After I installed the dynojet kit, the noise sounded a lot quieter but still tough. It's perfect!! I'm just wondering now whether I want to go down to 13t in the front. I've put a 45t sunstar sprocket in the back, but after installing the exhaust and jet kit, I haven't lost anything off the top end. The engine just runs more efficiently. Warning, make sure your new pipe isn't touching your airbox when you install it. You might just have to use a few washers as spacers when you screw it on.
