Aftermarket exhaust optons

RE: Aftermarket exhaust optons
I just installed the Big Gun full exhaust. Anyone haveto slightly modify the mounts? I had to put 4 washers for spacers behind the mount closest to the engine, and after realizing that the exhaust was touching and melting my air box, I had to drill the hole bigger in the mount farthest from the engine to get the header to drop enough to clear the air box about 1/4"-3/8". Anyone else have a bit ofa hard time adjusting?
ALSO.... HOLY CRAP this is loud. At least I can be heard if I can't be seen. Quiet core insert, HA! I like it, maby a decible or 2 quieter would be cool. Feals easier to hit the rev limiter now.

The Two Brother Pipe only used one of the orginal holes. No problems with heat or parts touching but it did come with a spacer, maybe half an inch?
Surf, I know all the guys have told me that removing the snorkel and/or the lid calls for new jetting. I missed somewhere if you have a new pipe but if you leave the airbox alone you can run a slip-on system without re-jet for a while. The guys at TBR said you never needed to change it if you didn't want, but with the pipe the engine is more released so you might as well re-jet to gain performance.

That would make some since. You figure with the stock header and a slip on really you've opened up only the very end of the exhaust equation. With the full system the airflow straight outta the engine has changed so re-jetting would be needed.

Hey Green. Wish I'd read your post a weekago. I just installed my Big Gun about four days ago, and didn't realize until I read your post that I had burned a hole in my airbox as well. I just took off the pipe and bent the mounts on the bike and pipe a little to move it away from the airbox. You've just got to find that perfect medium between the airbox and the passenger footpeg. Seems fine now except for the hole in the airbox.[:@]

Yeah, mine melted a decend spot in it, but I don't think(I hope, too) that it melted a hole through, if it did just a small hole. Kinda sucks, but could have been worse. I only noticed because I went to install the spark arrestor (or the screen whatever that is), that came with it, and happened to notice the melting going on after doing about a half hour of road driving.
