Aftermarket exhaust that doesn't need repacking?

It does degrade over time.. so you may not notice it.... I'd be curious what your packing looks like.
From what you guys are saying, I won't be packing it any sooner than twice a year or so at max with how much I ride currently.
That's a lot better than I thought, I had this stuck in my mind.. "Holy cow, 10 hours... that's like 5 trips to my Moms place and back, or about once a Month"
I was at my local shop today and they said there isn't any different kinds of muffler packing, just the plain old stuff... but I don't think that is right?

My packing has never deteriorated to the point that it was detectable by visual inspection with a small mirror, or by sound, or performance as measured on the dyno. I take the point made earlier however that 2-strokes may be an entirely different story...

I'm a bit **** about having everything working how it should... worked on Bicycles for years, and always checking everything to make sure it works perfectly...
Nothing like going out on a ride and the gears just won't shift properly... insanely frustrating for me.
But the FMF pipe is the only aftermarket pipe I've had the chance to listen to, and I like it... nice deep sound, so that is probably what I'll get if nothing is offered to me in the wanted section.

Most of the exhaust system are designed to cancel out sound, but there are plenty of aftermarket exhaust system that give a deep sound. For example, Flowmaster American Thunder systems produce a deep sound and can be bought for about $200.

Leo Vince uses a mechanical design which has no packing. Instead,
the exhaust gases flow from one chamber to another... kind of like a mouse maze.
Not sure where you can buy one, but I know that Happy Trails makes a turn signal relocation kit for KLX250S just for the Leo Vince.
I have a Leo Vince on my 22 KLR650 and love it. And I will never have to repack it
