I'll check the cam chain 20-link length for wear (standard 127.0 - 127.4 mm, service limit 128.9 mm). I really hope to not have to change it . Why do you want to see a timing chain replaced....something you need to do? Or is it just so much fun?

Oil filter has two oil changes on it and about 2200 miles or so total. Rotella oil. There was a little more metal flake than seen in the pics, but not much. Filter is a "superior" Honda replacement filter. I have about a dozen of them. They fit the KLX and my Honda Four Trax 300.

Ya, what the he!! May as well spend more money. It seems like many around here support the EBC clutch plates. Any other thoughts from ya'll?

Do they (Barnbett and EBC) sell parts specific to the KLX ? Do you have part numbers or a link ? I may go down this road eventually.
IDRIDER , great job on the pics. It's funny how, no matter how clean you think you have the bike, once you start tearing it down you will find tons of dirt. You will appreciate the 351, no doubt about it. Have fun.

+1 on the part numbers for clutch parts etc.
The sub frame changes I made were to stiffen up the cheesy stamped cross member where it cracked due to flexing caused by my bad design on the first rack I built. I think the sub frame tubes are pretty strong as is as long as the weight isn't too far out from the back of the seat.
