well i just ordered a new tank from justgastanks.com .

1 x KLX300 Acerbis Fuel Tank (Acerbis Fuel Tanks) = $229.99
Part #/Years/Capacity: 2140680006 97-08 3.7G GREEN
Color Kawi Green

it works out to be 330aud posted which is great. in the shops they go for around $550-$600 so im wrapped.

any ideas about the fuel in the wings issue.

Just lean her over a tad and you'll get some into the centre well. Easy really. Not sure that it's really an issue. the last 2 litres can be 'coerced' into the centre well if needed.

theres a post somewhere about using a vacuum fuel pump and some line to get at it. ive thought about it, but im sooo lazy most the time.

For anyone that cares. In AUS we get the carb' without any smog' stuff/fittings. So there is no where to fit a vacuum pump to the carb'.
