Function over form in this case.

 

I'm with WestOz when it comes to function over for form.
Just find the ugly bike thread.
But as Deej said, carrying around fuel you can't use??
Doesn't sound particularly functional to me.

 

I dont think it would be able to pull a wheelie. i had the accebis tank on mine. and i had 13 50 and it barley pulled up now you are adding more weight. I have the stock tank for my 300R

 

Not sure what good having a tank with a range of 300m when my butt has a 50m range with the stock seat. Could make six trips though...LOL

Good point. I live close to the geographic center of Florida. Mostly rural, some small towns, but within one tank (stock) of some very large cities. On the other hand if I lived, say, in the geographic center of Australia I can see where more fuel capacity would be more of a necessity than a want. Different equipment for different conditions.

I forget who it was that installed a vacuum operated fuel pump made for 4 stroke ATVs on his KLX250 and used it to suck the fuel from the Acerbis wings. Last thing I knew, it was working pretty well. He had to do some mods to the fittings on the tank and install hoses inside the wings..didn't sound real easy, but it's probably worth it once you're done and can take full advantage of the larger tank.

I think his net name was MartinDM. He hooked the pump to where the air suction hose used the go.

Other's have tried just putting hose insides the wings without using a pump and it hasn't worked very well.

Last I heard he was using an electric snowmobile fuel pump.
I think he has gone through a few trials trying to get it right. I think the snowmobile pump did the trick for him.
