Default 8000 miles, what now?

i bought my bike new august 10 2007... its got 8000 miles on it. Its gone to the dealer once for the 600 mile check up (which was more like a 1000 mile check up) and i just dropped it off at a local shop yesterday to get the valves adjusted... other then the squeeky steering bearing in the triple, i dont know what else needs to be looked into. any ideas suggestions would be appreaciated.

changed oil, cleaned magnetic oil plug, air filters cleaned and oiled all around 1000-1500 miles runnin a semi synthetic blend of spectra gold 10-40w still on the stock chain, sprockets, front tire, changed the spark plug... i know theres more to look for, i just dont know where to look. or what needs to be regularly greased... thanks

you should grease your needle bearings. they're in the swingarm and shock linkages. you ought to do the bearings in the triple clamp too. there are posts in here covering all of these and there is a post with all the torque specs that you'll need. how are your brake pads? check your front sprocket for wear. it will go before the rear. if the teeth are starting to round over or the valley is looking a bit wide then it's time to replace it. you should do both sprockets and the chain at the same time. this is just something to think about. at 8000 you should be about ready to start replacing the high wear stuff.

https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_79913/tm.htm swing arm bearings thanks nobreaks

"...if you get a chance you might want to grease the swing arm, and also the steering bearings. That's the only thing I can think of right now. Oh yea I almost forgot, and this goes for everyone on here, take a small wrench and tap all of the spokes. You'll be able to tell if one is loose by the tone. snug it up and your good to go. " Thanks deej as always with the good advice

https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_249447/tm.htm Steering stem torque value

how to tell if you have a bad wheel bearing "as far as the wheel bearings go get the wheel off the ground and try and move it left and right. if it moves then the bearings need to be replaced forget about greasing them they're sealed. the steering head and swingarm bearings should probably be done once a year..." thanks to lcpl0331 ps, still no word on the NE ride or where abouts yet? what month do you guys usally go

https://www.kawasakiforums.com/m_80225/tm.htm Rocker Arm Bearings once again thanks to nobreaks... dude nobreaks is the man, everytime i go to look for information you usally have some killer write up explained in like two sentences that got more thru my head then 4 years of school ever did.

well thats what i could find so far... soon as my bike is back from the shop i've got a good list to keep me busy hope this helps out some other noobs too.

did it today, it was really easy, hardest thing was remembering how i got the brake off... heheheh dur. anyway i took a few pictues just havnt had any time to load any of them up. oh and i tried the stock 450 spring on the klx, no good. its just a tiny bit wider then the stock spring and i didnt like how it was sitting on the holding ring so i decied to keep the stock spring and bring back the 450 and trade it for a new PIAA head light bulb...
