They are the one thing that always throws me of... I look at a log and think "no problem" But those damn tracks. About half the time i goof it up and end up dragging one wheel over at a time. One time i was pissed at them and just pinned the throttle and launched over the first rail completely missing the second rail and couldnt stick the landing in the big gravel and dumped it. Sometimes i get right over no problem. Such a pain.

I have been mountain biking a lot and im finding its getting easier to ride the dirt bike in the woods. Amazing how much carries over.

From my first race a couple of weekends ago. Came in second place in beginners class!

Hhahahahaha yup been there done that. A small bit of rock or a log helps, but you gotta take it back out when you get over. No need to **** off the Rail Roaders and bring the heat to your riding area.
I haven't raced any MTB races but I generally ride each Wednesday with some guys from work. Tight single track, i can really tell that it helps cross over to the KLX. Coordination and endurance are so much better from the cross-training.

I feel alot of the balance and planning while riding, Where your tire is going type stuff. Carry over and of course the endurance and just being in better shape.

And of course: "Where you look is where you go". Much more severe consequences with a 300# MC vs a 30# MTB. It's good to have learned that lesson with the lighter vehicle.

One thing i have learned the hard way is that the MTB doesn't have hand guards. Hit a tree with the left hand while on the handlebars and it turned the bars right quick and chucked me off, Just like a high side. Have a nice scar on my knuckle from that.

So, EMS...got any poison ivy in that area?...LOL!

You know...I heard about a train derailment up there in the last few days...apparently attributed to some yahoos stacking wood on the tracks.

Beautiful, green country up there for sure. Nice pics. On the fenced tunnel pic you had, did you guys go through the open one where the water was standing?
