6-20-09 Ride
Hit the roads and trails yesterday, here are some of the pictures. I rode this road/trail 2 years ago, wanted to see if it was still open. And it was!
Mike
Road ended and then turned into a quad trail. Awesome stuff.
Go mike! Noob but learning.
And before anyone asks....yes I went left. hahaha
turned back into a road.
Yes I went straight through.
Salmon berries were out, and you know me and free food....
Man these things are good.
Mike gesturing that this was AWESOME!!!
This came out on Forest Service road # 29, near the campground.
More to come....

This one is for you JROCK
Found this on the side of the road, not sure but it looked like a water tank from a travel trailer...
Stopped at the campground for a break.
Look! Something bigger than me..
Sign picture on the way out
Then we decided at this point since both of the wives were working, that we had better take advantage of the day and so we headed over the mountain and onto highway 101..
I've been over this a few times in the past 3 years, fortunately its still open. But as you will see there are slides. And the Forest Service probably won't have the money to repair anytime soon.
Another 9 miles and we were down to the highway and over to another campground.
another 9 miles down the road, and we come to a Rayonier campground.
Thats it, another 14 miles back on the highway to town for as you can see in the GPS file picture was a nice loop. Ended the ride at 65 miles.

I spent the morning watching my 12 year old daughters softball team win their league and then did the fathers day thing. I think I will go for a short ride this evening.
Looks like you had a nice day with a buddy!!
Klahowya is a coast salish slang term for welcome!! When I was growing up we used lots of those native slang words, interesting to see that the native people saw no borders and traveled far.
