Yes the light you get is just the shell the bulb from the old light plugs right in so you have HI and LOW beam
although i still haven't tried it at night.
Oh, I get it. I think people are thinking you're just taking the bulb and putting it into the 450 headlight, when you are taking the entire bulb socket that's plugged into the 250 lamp, all the wiring for the 250 bulb, and plugging it into the 450 headlight..
I thought that anyway..
You got it ......sorry about the confusion

Hi Dave the new headlight Mount's completely different than the old one, it's no big deal three pieces of angel iron
should do it ,I'm going to make mine today, and the light just plug's right in the back.

Yeah, first glance at the specsmakes me wonder as well. However, I guess the jury is still out because we don't know what they have done with spring rates and valving. All we know for sure is that the geometry has changed. I hope they aren't trying to move the KLX into the same market segment as the XT, because they will be reducing it to no more than a low seat girly bike.

One guy over at the ADV rider website had a good point though and until we know the particulars he's just as right as the rest of us. Here's a quote of what he posted and it's a true statement.

"Ricky Carmichael (fastest man on the planet) ran between 8 and 9 inches of travel on his biikes." Unlikely that the KLX will be anywhere near RC worthy, but hopefully it won't slide so far as to be competing with XT225s, Serows and the like. [:@]

IG, you took this so personally it's as if you designed the bike yourself. Take a chill pill, fella.

I'd take an '06 or '07 any day over the '09. The '09 reminds me of the XT225 or the new DS'd WR250. It doesn't look all that dirt worthy, IMO, at least not on par with the earlier models.
