351CC Kit
#12
Thanks for all the replies!
Where should I get the gasket from? Anyone have a part #?
Also, I need to do a valve check.. I am at about 7500 miles and think it needs it.. should I do it before, after, or during the 351 kit install?
What is the manual cam chain adjuster?
Dude.. who are you kidding.. you saw my mechanical "skills".. I will def need someone to personal walk me through it.. If you would do the honors of learning me, I would be ever so grateful!

DOO EET!
I would order a clutch kit too. hahaa..
I think you have everything else you *need*. A Motion pro vortex throttle is nice to have, they're cheap.
Also try to find some gasgacinch. It's not needed, but I think it's a good idea to lightly coat the base and head gasket with it.
Also get a torque wrench for the head bolts, or borrow mine if you can't get one.
Do a search for the walkthrough, will help a lot. Also, I can help if needed, it's a pretty straight-forward install.

If you're handy with an x-acto knife - go to Napa and buy a roll of gasket material. It's like $5.00 for a few feet of it. You can cut any gasket needed on the bike pretty easily as long as your old gasket isn't so trashed that you can't trace it.
I've been doing it forever, save a lot of cash that way. Pays for itself the first time you use it. I've done the water pump a couple times, clutch cover a couple times, and some stuff for my cars.
I just made a clutch one the other night - works perfect. Good stuff
EDIT - I don't mean for the valve cover gasket, that's rubber, gotta buy it. I meant for all the other gaskets
