OK, good to know, I just went and searched in the great unknown that is my closet and found it, I might not get to try it until next weekend but in the meantime I appreciate everything.. Let me just say that this forum is great, the advice is usually very sound because we are so specialized to these bikes. That and Bill Blue is the man! Great support for his products- Thank you Bill! Thanks again guys and it sounds like I might be ordering a snorkel from Bill.

So i put the airbox lid back on and the bikes ran great, until it shut off a few blocks away from my house (of course not in front of my house) and wouldnt start for anything, I looked in the tank and saw way down gas splashing and thought that it had gas. i walked it home, sprayed some starting fluid and she cranked over and ran for a second and them shut down. Needless to say I was cursing thinking i screwed up the install somehow. I was just starting to tear it down again when i pulled the fuel line and it was dry as a bone, moral of the story is dont be dumb, when the bike shuts down, try using the reserve!!! So the jet that came with the carb is pretty close, the bike feels way better than before and I think it just had a little tuning left which i might leave for the dyno shop. Thanks Bill and JoAnn for the great product and support and thanks to all on the forums for your constant willingness to give advice and raise moral!

Dan
