My poor little over worked 331 KLX having wheelie fun in the sun. It will hit 160km/h & do easy wheelies with 14/39 gearing, which is my preferred gearing

With a scary 13T sprocket fitted the front wheel is airborne way to easily for my liking & to slow on the main roads

NICE DUDE! I prefer the 13 tooth, but I have the stock cv carb, the throttle response isn't as crisp as with EFI or a pumper. You seem to like your wheelies haha!

Nice video, especially with that tall gearing...makes me wish my 331 kit was here already

Man that video Joel posted is making me jealous. You try and pull stunts like that here right in the middle of town and they haul your *** off to jail

I can get away with that here in the Philippines as well-but the other side of the coin is that riding is very hazardous due to unregulated drivers. No tickets, no radar, no roving traffic cops ... mix that with locals who have never had driver's edu and it's anything goes

Riding is very hazardous here too lol, ******** on cellphones checking their facebook while driving or doing any number of other things instead of paying attention to where they are going.

If I wasn't for the potential of getting caught by the police there would be a lot of cars around with kicked off mirrors or bricks thrown through the side windows from almost running me over or off the road.

That's why you own a dual sport. I'll never admit to riding around some idiot by jumping the sidewalk though

Mainly just curious because my big bore sure won't do that and I'm wondering if I'm missing something. It seems to be tuned well, but it's sure not going to lift the front end up just by going WOT. I've got a 15 tooth on the front, but still...

SF, 351, megabomb, Q4, no lid, stock carb, #38 pilot, #132 main, DJ needle and spring

Thanks!

Well I've been researching and visitor-trolling the KLX 250S forum for a while now lol. This is my first post. Woo-hoo ;D. Anyway down to business. I'm almost done building my Bill Blue 331 big bore (2009 KLX 250S). I'm going with stock exhaust, airbox snorkel removed (lid on), 38 keihin pilot, and DJ 124 main with DJ jet kit stage 2. I believe that if your 351 doesn't power wheelie easily (SOME technique may be required, but it should be EASY), something is definitely not quite right. And I'm pretty sure, as has been said by one of the other members responding to your post, that while your bike may seem to run okay as it is, a Dynojet 132 main jet is way too big; I think even for sea level with the airbox lid off that's too big. I'm a relative noob to jetting but I've done a lot of research. Depending on your elevation and other modifications (besides the big bore), you'd probably find it will wheelie easier with either a 128 or a 124. Unless you have airbox lid off and a full exhaust, I'd say 124 would be better. On my bike I'll also be running Royal Purple full synthetic oil after the break in is done (I'm convinced that this should actually give me at least 1/2 horsepower, maybe even as much as one full horsepower, compared to regular conventional oil). I'm planning on doing a dyno test of my bike after it's all broken in (with conventional oil, of course) and ready to rock. So you guys can look forward to that lol I'm almost positive my bike will easily power wheelie in first when I'm done. I'm pretty sure it will also power wheelie in second with some effort/technique. And I think it MIGHT power wheelie in third with LOTS of effort. Haha. I'm also doing everything else there is to do on this bike all at once (fixes, maintenance, armoring up and other mods...). Can't WAIT to get this beast done!
