Default 351 plus TM36-68 Eee Hhaa!

Today put the carb on my bike. It took about an hour until I had it good enough to fire up. I had to re route the throttle cables but did use both. It started, up ok and I could instantly feel the difference SO I went for a ride NO air cleaner. It was the *****! I could lift the front wheel in second for the first time. about 4 K crank it open. Eee Haa!

I then hooked up the air cleaner and went for some gas. I barely had the throttle cracked open in 3 rd or 4th going 30 mph. Its 24* out and snow everywhere but in the road.

It runs plenty rich, I stuck my finger in the tailpipe and it came out black. I already ordered what I think are proper jets most of it I found here.

I have ridden an RM250 Its not there, but more of what I wanted in a bike. Its a Keeper!

Business end first.

Recommend to everyone!

Have you got a pic of how you mounted the push cable? I could never work out a way to mount the bugger on my one..... Mostly because of the tank though.

Yes I will take a pic. I will be taking the carb off when the jets get here.

Just crack the throttle and away it goes. What a difference.

All I need is for the snow to go away (in a couple of months )

I don't think with this carb it matters air box lid on or off. I have the KDX snorkel, but will try t with the lid off.

Not a clue. I do know its pretty much plug and play.

I remember how I installed the return cable. I turned the carb a little. (top to the left) Once the cables were in and adjusted, I turned it back.

I have 4 studded snows on my truck and today I needed them. No testing for a while....

Sounds great, can't wait to get mine here soon.

If you could post what jetting you settle on that would be great as well.

Im pretty sure the TM36-68 is a completely aftermarket carb and has never come out stock on any bike.

I think Mikuni makes them as plug and play performance modifications for Harley's..... the manual talks alot about the differences between harley carbs and Mikuni carbs.
