I did the install myself and I probably spent an extra $40 on oil, filter, gaskets and washers. I've never took an engine apart before, so this was all new to me. I think the hardest part is putting the clips on the piston. I'm using the stock carb with a 140 keihin main jet, 38 pilot jet, nt1c needle with clip on 3rd notch, 2.5 turns out, drilled slide, stock slide spring, smog stuff removed, full muzzy exhaust, uni filter, lid on without snorkel. Bike runs strong! I'm averaging 55 mpg...2 less than when I had the 249cc. I ride the crap out of it too!
