Default 351 jetting

Just got the 351 installed. Down to rejetting the carb.

I am at sea level
Upgrades are FMF Megabomb, FMF powercore 4, uni filiter, kdx snorkle, and the KLX300 Dynajet kit
Currently the jetting is a 35 Pilot, 128 Main, think the clip is 3 down, and fuel screw 2 1/5 out

Any recommendations on jetting? Could wait till tomorrow to call Bill. But feeling waking my neighbors in about an hour. lol

Bill told me "up 2" on the main jet, and I think leave the pilot as is but check it to make sure it's not too small. So that would make your main a 130 DJ.

But seeing what others are doing at sea level, a #38 pilot may do.

Call dynojet and see what they say. Reports are they have some good recommendations for you.

Enjoy!

I would leave it right where your at and try it out for a while.

You might go up to a 132 main just because you are at sea level. You might be able to run a 38 pilot as well, but many (including myself) just stayed with the 35.

But, your bike should run fine just the way it is.

In the upper RPM's, if your bike starts cutting out, your main is too small. If your bike won't idle right, your pilot is too small.

Ride it first, there is no way to tell, every bike is different.

^ ride it as is 1st, bigger bore doesn't always create the need to jet up. I went down 152 > 140 on a 285cc 250 I did.

Just went up the the 132 main. Bike runs good. May move the clip down to the 4th spot to see if it makes any difference.
