When the exchange rate was around 93c it cost me around $650 Aus for the 331 kit including shipping. The rate is currently 70c.
My guess would be around $800 Aus depending on how much Bill can do it for and the exchange rate. The 300 kit from Kawasaki is $600

Well, I finally got to put my bike with the 351 kit on the dyno this afternoon.
Baker will post a copy of the dyno chart after this post.
The maximum horsepower came to 26.55 at 7,100 RPM; maximum torque came to 21.11 at 5,800 RPM. This was with the following equipment in place:
Stock KLX 250 header, Super Trapp slip-on muffler w/5 discs, Mikuni pumper flat slide TM33/34 carb. Kenda K270 5.10-18 rear tire. Stock gearing 6th gear run.
Pilot jet 40, main jet 140, air box lid on, KDX 200 snorkle, air box backfire screen removed, crankcase vent modified.
Stock valves, ports cleaned, 351 c.c. piston 12.5:1 compression on regular pump gas, no detonation or ping.
As a note, I changed the stock header to a Power Bomb header for another run on the dyno, but actually lost 1/10th horsepower.

So prolly about 28hp peaking at a higher RPM with some more agressive cams. What kind of tire where you using? Did it get good traction on the drum?

For comparision purposes, here are the numbers from Nobrakes dyno of a KLX with KK 331cc kit, FCR-35 carb, stock cams and full muzzy exhaust.

Max HP: 26.82
Max torque: 19.86

Bills Numbers:
Max HP: 26.55
Max torque: 21.11

Now there are still a lot variables like different dynos, carbs and exhaust but it looks like the combo of increased displacement and stock header produced an additional ft lb of torque...and for the price you really can't beat it.

I'd say that unless both dyno's were perfectly calibrated and compensating for temp, etc, that it's pretty hard to compare the precise numbers from the two different machines. The shop I did mine at assured me their dyno was well calibrated and their operator knew how to use it. But I'd even then there is going to be variability. But it does validate the results, IMO, i.e., they are in the same ball park and not wildly different and I wouldn't expect 20cc to be too different, but it should be measurable everything else being equal. I had a different carb and pipe setup, too, I don't know if that helped or one way or the other, so everything else was certainly not equal.

Well done, Bill. It's rare that someone goes to the effort you did to publish your results. I certainly appreciate it. I wish all vendors did that. I think the KLX community is lucky to have a guy like you making the nice upgrades you are w/the carb, brake lines, big bores, and now the 351, essentially picking up where Kawasaki fell short with some well thought out no BS improvements.

+1... and all at a very reasonable price.

Default 350 kit

Hats off to Bill and Jo-Ann, thanks for putting in all that time effort and money into looking after us Klx riders. Great price also. My dad asked the other day if any dyno numbers had been posted I said no but my guess would be about 27 hp with pumper carb and basically stock head , personally for the terrain I ride in I'm more interested in the torque number and I like what I see. I'm just waiting to see if our lowly Canadian dollar creeps up again to at or near par. If it doesn't you can still consider it a done deal, just have to get the x-mas bills paid off. Again thanks guys for your work.
