Default 330 kit arrived

Thought I'd post some pics to make you all jealous... Kidding.
Actually, I have some questions for those that have done the 330 upgrade from Kustom Kraft. So... Question for you Brian.

The piston I received appears to be a custom ordered unit from JE pistons.
A couple things about that concern me.
1. Is the shape correct (valve pockets, flywheel cutaway, ring grooves, etc)
2. Does it weigh any more...

The first thing I thought when I picked up the piston is "man, this is heavy". It weighs 240 grams or 8.5 oz.
It also came with the spec sheet from the manufacturer, which leads me to believe that Marvin had the piston custom made. What kind of piston did you get Brian?

Yeah, that's the same piston I got. I seriously doubt it is custom. The label on the box for mine says "L.A.SLEEVE J5339PS" and on the piston itself it has the JE part number as shown in your photo above. I don't know how much heavier it is. I still have my 72mm piston from my 249cc so I guess I could wiegh. I'll try to do that this evening maybe.

That sure is a great looking piston, though, isn't it!

Are you going to use the stock carb with it? Let us know how it works! If I can't sell my bike this will be myother option.

Thanks nobrakes! Yep, stock carb for now... Life is a little busy round here so it'll be a while before she's all together. I plan on doing lot's of stuff all at once (valve adjust, big bore, grease head bearing and swingarm, t-mod for carb vents, adding power cable for GPS, new tires, rimlocks, etc, etc).

I'll be sure to take lots of photos of everything and post them here!

My jug is on its way from ronayers. I won't even take it out of the box, but am shipping directly to Marvin. How's that for following orders?
