RE: 300 KIT Ride report
MaverickAus,
Now pard, I'm not really pullin' your chain - okay, yes I am!
If a gudgon pin is held in place by a pair of gudgon clips, why does it hold the piston and not the gudgon in place?
Just wonderin', that's all mate.
Yes, we also have crocs' here too! The salt water variety!

Just wondering if the cylinder is finished bored or does this need to be done after purchasing the kit - thanx!!

I have no idea. I would imagine that it is finished and ready for the piston (or gudgon) to be installed. The KLX300 is an elctrofusion aluminum coated cylinder, therefore I think it comes ready to use. Of course, this would not be the first time I was wrong.

A metal pivot or journal at the end of a shaft or an axle, around which a wheel or other device turns.
[Middle English gudyon, from Old French gojon, peg, diminutive of goi, gouge, from Vulgar Latin *gubius, variant of Late Latin gubia.

dose anyone have any idea how much it would cost to have this conversion done at a dealer

I can respect the fact not everone feels the same about spinning wrenches.
Most of us enjoy working on our own things especially with help from the forums. It's also that many of us wouldn't trust any dealer or shop to wipe a bug off of our headlight.
If your cool with your local shop making your 250 a 300 it will prolly be at least 200.00 or more just to get the whole top end back together not counting dialing in your carb..
Whew, I get scared thinking of them screwing up my innocent little bike.
