LOL if you want a 450 then go buy the KLX450R and put your signals and plate from the 250 on it and call it a day Honestly, when's the last time a cop matched your VIN, registration, and engine casing numbers?

Talking engine swap

I though about that first. Any one can put in a bigger engine that's easy. But transforming a little cc engine into a sleeper. I like going to the max. I rebuild engines all the time and stock is boring. I'd like to try 351 cut out a little more and just see if it overheats or what. Why stand in line when you can start a new one. Beside I don't do easy. People make fun of my 250 all the time. On flip side it's easy to gum when you don't even have a bike or rode one. The world's a funny place.

I have TOO MUCH money into klx to stop now... It would be easy just to buy a ktm 625 or something... If I was to do an engine sawp it would be a big V-twin. Maybe a wreck honda rc51 999cc engine fuel injected or cruiser 120 c.i. I wouldn't go little. Like putting a big block in a sunfire and switching it to rear wheel drive. Just cause I can...

So I guess in short If I was going to buy KK for a big bore almost 800.00 or bills awesome resleeving price of under 500.00 and some had a redesigned 400 cc (plus!!!) for 1500.00 or less I spend the extra money hands down.

If people on this site just rode there bike's without making there personal touch who would read this forum. This have been a very helpful site. A.K.A my bike is my drug. Beside I work 60 hrs plus a week and on-call to each of my staff 24-7. So for me cut or installing a new part is like looking toward the weekend party and getting drunk or something...

I want to buy a 21119-1533 cdi why no rev limit that's reason enough

I thank Bill for his hard work and time He has added to the sport. I was just beside myself when Bill said it would be strong to support 450 cc. Now I have it in my head how do I look back.

I could find you a -1533 CDI, but they come at a pretty high price, usually go used for $200+

PM me if interested

Just changes timing advance and no rev limiter. Some power increase.

The day after I did it.

Those guys on the DRZ 400s and XR 650s will pull away on the road but in the tight twisties they're big heavy machines need to be muscled.

I want to keep my KLX looking as stock as can be and leave folks scratching their heads wondering how that little 250 cranks so hard. That's a four stroke,...right??? Is it because it's a Kawasaki?? or maybe 'cause it's green.

Got a Keihin 35mm FCR today. After I get that dialed in I think I'll go with a 351 bore unless somebody comes along with a 360 by then. By spring time this "little" KLX will have 10 pounds of ***** in a 5 pound sack.

Leave them boys

Hey I was just wondering, will the power be atleast close to the power of a DRZ with a 351 kit?

Because I'V ridden three DRZ's an their power is just amazing, but my KLX looks and handles nicer..
