250s shock charging valve conversion

I don't doubt the shock can be made to perform better, I think it's just a matter of tuning to your liking.
The forks on the other hand. The valve looks like it doesn't have the ability to flow enough oil. Maybe if the ports were opened up it could be made to work.
Let us know how it goes.

It's possible your guy can hit upon the right combination if he's going to drill out the OEM pistons in the forks, but that can be a real crapshoot. Then even if you drill out the piston to flow a proper amount of oil, you have to match the shim stacks to coordinate with them for your application. And then without a fork/shock dyno, you might have to disassemble and reassemble numerous times to hit the right spot. You notice that Brewster tried numerous combinations before he hit an acceptable mark. This is what something like an RT Goldvalve setup really helps with. It does better than just get you in the ballpark. I had to tweak my GV fork stacks once after initial installation, and the shock was spot on.

I got the schrader valve in last night. Used JB weld for thread locker. Very straight forward, drill, tap, install.
The shock is back on the bike and seems to work like it's supposed to. Weather I like it or not, time will tell.
5 wt shock oil
160psi nitrogen charge.
Minor change to the valve stack. I moved the crossover one position closer to the valve. Might make it a bit softer. We'll see.
I'll start another thread on valving.
