You can always hide the wheels under your bed. Doesn't take long to switch em out at all. He'll never know the difference.

The good part is if you upgrade the springs, they'll be legit upgrades for off-road too.

The other end of the spectrum, supermoto off-road.

The quality sucks and the music is iffy, but our little KLX250s is up to the tasks in this video.

Any reason it's not the stock 14/39?

I have 14/42 for now. It's good except the RPMS are way up on the highway. Will be switching to 14/39 soon.

I imagine you will be slightly lower RPM than me on highway, and every so slightly less torquey low end. I am speaking of gearing only of course, not other mods.

I dont get the whole moto thing and why people moto bikes.

I think it's more about the look of the bike than anything else. I personally think it makes the bikes look totally stupid and i often laugh at riders who ride past.
As for riding a moto bike of road with those tyres (I Don't think so)

If you mean a dirt road maybe but serious off road (NO WAY)

The moto racing i have seen is totally boring, But thats me just my opinion.

I think people who moto dirt bikes are try hard road bike riders who either can't afford a road bike or cant handle a road bike.

Seriously guys come on

Cheers
first off all if i want to ride offroad i use my kx250f second of all i own a sportbike i bought this for around town riding cause they are fun and it is a whole diffrent way of riding so no disrespect but dont care what you think

Hey barthel75. Nice job! What wheels did you use? Does changing the wheels change the geometry of the bike? In other words, do you have to mod the suspension in any way to make up for a change in wheel size? I've been seriously considering turning my 2009 klx250s into a supermotard and was wondering what all the steps are. There is an area where I live that is partly paved and partly dirt. It was supposed to be a subdivision but due to the economy they never built it. They put in all the streets though. Perfect supermoto track material.

That is so damn smart. I hadn't considered using a rear wheel off another klx and going with 2 18s. I just assumed everyone slaps 17s on. Did you have to modify the forks in any way to accommodate the 18" rear wheel (axle, spacers, rotor, caliper, etc.)? I have an 09 and I think the rotor is a different size from the previous years.

Ok, I'm stumped. :-) What year(s) did the KLX250 come with an 18 x 1.85? All the models and years I've researched seem to come up with 18 x 2.15. What year and model did your 18 x 1.85 rear wheel come from? Thanks!
