I just don't get it???

Why would you do that to a dirt bike. Never understood the moto stuff.

Anyway enjoy your bike it's just a shame to see a dirt bike look a bit odd.

No disrespect just not for me.

Cheers

Maybe because he wants to race supermoto with it? It can still be used off-road.

No disrespect to you but that was not my point

I dont get the whole moto thing and why people moto bikes.

I think it's more about the look of the bike than anything else. I personally think it makes the bikes look totally stupid and i often laugh at riders who ride past.
As for riding a moto bike of road with those tyres (I Don't think so)

If you mean a dirt road maybe but serious off road (NO WAY)

The moto racing i have seen is totally boring, But thats me just my opinion.

I think people who moto dirt bikes are try hard road bike riders who either can't afford a road bike or cant handle a road bike.

Seriously guys come on

Cheers

I beg to differ on the "serious off-road" on supermoto tires. Not only is it possible, but I just went on a ride the other day. Actually it was at night and it was WAY more than just "a dirt road". VERY tight single track where the brush is overlapping the path from both sides, loose soil, rocky paths, mud. Class 2 and Class 3 roads. Next time I will take lots of pictures for you.

Also your last statement really shows off your ignorance on the subject and while your first post was fine, this one is just offensive.

For the price of a SM610 or a 690SMC or even a DRZ400 you can get "a real" street bike. So your point about not being able to afford a road bike is totally untrue. Go read about what the Aprilia SXV can do and then say a supermotard isn't a "real street bike" Granted that's a pure race bike, but it is total motard that any joe schmoe can buy. Just like a "real" street bike like a Gixxer or whatever.

It's your opinion that it looks stupid.
However you're completely wrong about "being able to afford" and "being able to handle" a street bike.

Husqvarna SM610 is around $7500. There are plenty of "real" street bikes out there for that price and even less. The Husky could stomp on them in the corners if ridden by an experience SM rider. And I mean Gixxers and R6's and the like.

Do you even know the horsepower to weight ratio of some of these bikes? Do you know what they are even capable of?

Your first post was fine, you couldn't understand the sport. That's fine. But blanketing an entire sport as people who can't handle a "real" bike or can't "afford" one makes you sound like a complete ***.

Welcome to the forums by the way.

No flaming, just a civil rebuttal.

Seriously, this bike is so SO fun converted to SM. It is still very capable off-road and you can lean with far more confidence in the corners. You can really thrash it and have a BLAST.

Yeah, I want to convert my bike, too, but my father purchased it and has the title in his name, so he doesn't want me too (even though he doesn't even ride it anymore). Oh well, I'll probably buy it off of him some time and convert it next year.

Here's a YZF450 vs. some gixxers for you.

The gixxers pull away in the straights but it's quite obvious that the YZF is superior in the turns.

The YZF is an off-road bike stock by the way. It was converted.
