Default 2300 kms what to do

Hi All,

Just hit 2300kms, just wondering what things I should be doing in order to maintain the bike, I am already planning to grease the sterring head bearings, any others?.. I change the oil and filter every couple of rides, make sure the airfilter is always pristine (also use a fliter skin).. Do I need to check valves at this stage. I have had quite a few loose bolts but always make sure I check everything before each ride, the worst was one of the rear suspension linkage bolts came off while riding and the bolt was just hanging in there by its last thread, didn't notice till I was unloading off the trailer. That could have been messy.
The Ol Klx has copped a fair beating, mainly riding tight rocky single trail other than doing the suspension I am very happy with the bike, the 300kit was easily the best mod and with the staintune pipe and dynojet kit I have no problems keeping up with the others.

Cheers
Chris.

checking the valve is a good idea. if you haven't greased the swingarm and rear shock linkage you should to that to. whens the last time you looked at your spokes? Check your master cyclinders. That brake oil should be about ready to be changed. Get a mityvac. It makes that job easy and fast. Look at your sprockets for any wear or bending of the teeth. even though there's not a lot of power there still go bad eventually.

Thanks Guys, I'm thinking of a strip down and re-grease everything I have some high-temp bearing grease, do you think this would be O.K for the linkages etc.

Cheers
Chris.
