What a clever idea.
Less than 6,000rpm @ 60mph is higher than supermoto gearing which is exactly 6,000rpm @ 60 mph.

14/37 2.64
15/40 2.66

Essentially identical gearing. Your larger diameter rear wheel and higher aspect ratio tire raise it higher. The nice thing about having front wheel speedometer/odometer is the accuracy doesn't get thrown off by gear changes.

Did my first oil and filter change. I have 250 miles with a med break in so not exactly like the book but not hard either. Anyway glad I did cause oil is dirty and so was the filter. Used conventional 10/40 oil and a stock Kawasaki filter. Will change it again at 600 miles then should be good for reg schedule oil changes.

Put some more off-road miles on today. Went on a old logging road. Was a lot of fun. Lots of potholes to jump. Did some on road riding too. Here is a pic .

Beautful setting.

There's plenty of nature where I live, but no dirt riding because it's all parkland. This is outside our front door.

Yes it is a beautiful area. I woke up this morning and am sore. Lol. Didn’t realize how much I was muscling the bike around. Abs , arms and legs feel like I did a workout. Feels good just didn’t feel it until this morning. Going out again today.

Nice looking ride. Congrats
Is the 1st-2nd gear long and notchy feeling as mentioned in some online reviews?
I may have to do a fly by if I can make the Oyster run again this year.

I don’t feel anything weird in first or second. I haven’t read any reviews like that either. Can you point me to some reviews where they talk about it? Thanks
also I have never done the oyster run. Too many crazy’s out there on bikes. Lol
most of the time I ride solo so I can not ever be pushed beyond what I am comfortable with and that also goes the other way. I have had people crash behind me and also I have done some stupid **** following others.

I did some reading on what you were talking about. No I have not had that experience at all. It shifts very smooth. Did have one false N up shifting to 4th but that was my error. Also one time I had shifted to 6th then it immediately dropped back to 5th but again I think it was my fault with shifter pressure.

lol, right on with the "Too many crazy’s out there on bikes. Lol"
I have been looking for an all purpose ride, just have not put up the cash up for one without learning more. Definitely would not ride a klx up for the oyster run though. A 3 day 2500+ run on the 10r hurt me in the past. The ninja 500 will be the most likely this yrs runner. or the KZ1000. Too early just yet.
