Default 2018 klx250 larger fuel tank

This may have been asked before but I could not find the answers I was looking for. Are the IMS and Clarke tanks the only aftermarket tanks that will work for the 2018 efi models? I was hoping to get more than 3 gallons without having to use rotopaks.

The Acerbis 3.7 tank will fit the later KLX's with very little fiddling. The seat/tank junction isn't as clean as factory, but it's not that big a deal. If style is that important over function, I think I'd get something other than a KLX.

Does the Acerbis tank work with the EFI model? I didn't think so, but not positive.

If you really need the bigger tank you could always run an inline/external pump.

Or switch to a carb and watch your street-cred skyrocket....

Ooops!...missed that he was talking about FI. For motorcycles that seems to be the snafu for ease of tank replacement and choices. I love FI, but on the KLX I love me some single carburetor...with a pumper.

I think stock is 2 gallons. Probably easily get 120+ miles per tank I would say. I have a 2018 KLX as well and I haven't even gotten around to finishing the old stale gas in it currently so I have very little input here but it seems ok for now.
