2015 Gear Guide
The Ogio Hydration Vest popped up in another thread. What other gear is relatively new to the scene or is on your list?
For me I'd like to find an armored jacket that that has all the benefits (minus say waterproofing) of an adventure tour jacket without being so hot while slow riding in the woods. Seems the current choices are adventure tour or motocross style gear. Anyone find, or know, a decent in between? I had a chinese mesh jacket but it was ill-fitting and ill-constructed... Still looking.

I have one of these: PRESSURE SUIT - Rage - Base Layer - Bike
661 Pressure suit. Vented/mesh, so very good in the summer, but just add layers in the winter. I rode yesterday - temps were just above freezing, and I had a 'base layer' long sleeve shirt, the pressure suit, a MX jersey, then a thin rain jacket on top. Once out to the trail (about 15 minutes on the street to get to the trails), I opened up the front of the rain jacket to get some air and cool down. In the summer, I can just run the pressure suit by itself and get some good cooling and still have good armor/protection. The layers work well in the cooler weather, since you can open up/remove layers if you're too hot, and put them back on if you get cold.
