Default 2013 Exhaust Mod

Just this evening I attempted my own Stock exhaust mod. I was starting to regret doing it but it turned out pretty good I think. I need to get a few bolts to install the tip and then it is finished. I never found anything that resembled a spark arrester so I think it should still be enact and functional (correct me if that is incorrect Please) it sounds much better with the tip off but not sure how the tip will change the sound once it is installed.

Not sure how to remove the Straw, seems to be fine where it is though, going to leave it in place so as not to damage anything else

Hole cut out by drilling many small holes next to each other then finishing with dremel and cutoff wheel

tip to be installed

I should have taken a video after It was done but I didn't know it it was worthy of posting. Also should have taken a before video.
Recorded a video but its to large to upload. Not sure how to attach a video on these forums. Try this link, see if it works and let me know
It sounds alot different in person, the videos on sound never do them justice. I'm sure it does not sound like aftermarket exhaust but from what I have read they are very loud, I didn't want very loud, just some tone to make it sound like a bike at least. I think I have accomplished that but not having actually heard an aftermarket system to know, I am unsure how this compares. It has some definite hits now but it is not obnoxious loud at all, and very much better sounding than the way it was. It suits me for now, at least until I hear something better. LOL

That sounds really nice not to loud just enough volume to wake it up. Good job thanks for sharing.

That does sound good! What is the brand of exhaust tip you used?

The stock muffler's spark arrester is not an obvious screen, but vanes that appear to spin the exhaust gasses. Some owners have taken long 1/2 inch drill bits down the pea shooter exhaust to open it up, and potentially ruined the spark arrester.

It was some cheap thing from ebay I had purchased for my rincon but had taken back off. Just had it laying around so I figured I would put it on there since it fit okay. I also installed the little screen that came with it as a secondary spark arrester. Turned out pretty good and looks half decent as well.
