Well I just pulled the trigger and ordered a dg-r with a 1" quiet insert and a jet kit. I am excited for it to show up and get this on. I ride with three other guys and I am sick of having the quietest bike. Lol. Maybe the lighter weight will help with my crash factor as well. I could be a semi pro dead lifter now I have picked this thing up so many times. Lol I am getting better just a few problem areas on the trails we ride.

Sounds like you're bout to go from zero to hero.. If you want my assistance with setting up the carb for the DG-R, I'll need to know your elevation(s), and daytime temps and to verify that you have a DJ2152 kit coming.. BTW, if your near sea level, you'll need to call DynoJet and get $6.00 worth of jets coming, DJ136, DJ138, DJ140..

Obviously, the charts and power levels on this thread will directly apply to you if you are near sea level, pull your lid, and leave the 1" insert on a shelf..

Perhaps take the time to go into your profile and list a location as well as create a signature line containing your bikes' information..?

Yes. I ordered the 2152. I live in Michigan so I assume its sea level or near. I will update the info when I get home.

Ok then, you can directly use my charts.. Start, and no doubt end, with 140/2N, lidless, w/o the insert.. Use of the insert will require a "retweak" of my charted setups - use the insert and the lid and you'll be on your own as my data will not apply.

Oh, if your summer temps stay above 90F, I'd use next smaller jet (DJ138/2N instead of DJ140/2N)... IMHO..

Awesome. Thank you. I would say the temps will float between 80-90. Sometimes more, sometimes less. What air filter do you use ? I was contemplating the UNI.

Well, I ran my stock filter until recently. I ran it dry - no oiling. I'm running a UNI, almost dry, right now.. I guess the reputation of the UNI allowing more airflow got my wallet out. I think running the stock filter dry or nearly dry is just fine - as long as it's like new and clean..

With 80-90F, you have the option of going directly off my charts with your setup. You see, my charts are SAE corrected to 77F, 29.23, 0 humidity..

While 140/5N is too rich, 140/2N should be perfect.. However, please note that I have not yet actually tested 140/2N..

Latest news: Neonarc verifies 140/2N (compensated for his 5k altitude) as best power levels overall.. 140/2N at 5k calculated to a DJ132.. So he is running 132/2N..
