Default 2011 351 tm36-68 jetting

Yes, did hours of searching!

Just about to order jets, etc, wanna make sure I'm on the right track.

2011 KLX351
Brand new TM36-68

560' ASL (rarely going much higher)

Thinking:

Pilot: 17.5, Main: 130, Needle jet: P4, Jet needle: 9EBY01-50 – clipped in 3rd from the top

Any other opinions/thoughts/better ideas?

Thanks!

That's what I wound up with, plus a .9 air jet. Works for me. That's more or less the cook book solution. I think these are more or less baseline for this bike with 351/exhaust and the KDX snorkel.

I live at 190' but ride a lot at around 1200' So, we're in the same ballpark.

Here's a funny thing I noticed about the pumper. If you whack the throttle open then close it before you start the bike, it's like having the choke open for a second. The spray of fuel richens it up for the moment that it's starting.

I do believe it was you I swiped that set up from

Just trying to find somewhere to order all the parts from. Jetsrus won't process with a non US PayPal even though I'm shipping everything to the States.

You wouldn't have a parts list/numbers of the jets/needles you used? Again, double checking what I've got in my cart...seems to be a lot of cross over between certain carbs..

Thanks!

Pilot: 17.5 (VM28/486)
Main: 132.5 (N100.604)
Needle jet: 568 series P4
Jet needle: 9EBY01-50 – clipped in 3rd from the top

I do not have the part number for the .9 air jet but I would do that too. Also order a 132.5 main, some like that better. I rarely ride WOT so it doesn't matter.

I used Jets-r-Us. They're good. There is also motorcyclecarbs.com too.

Why not just use a different email, like a Gmail as a temp paypal address?

Perfect thanks.

I'll try motorcycle carbs. I emailed jets yesterday and still no response. I don't like having to wait for service.

My paypal lists me as Canadian, and when you try to check out on Jets it automatically brings you to PayPal. You can't even check out with just a credit card. I think I'd have to start another PayPal account, link cards, etc... Too much work for the privilege of spending my money with them lol..

Looking forward to getting it in. Runs on the CVK as is, but it is hard to start and bogs mid rpm.

Any tricks installing it?

You jet need the pull cable. you'll also have to reroute it.

The install is pretty straight forward.

Just a rant:

So tried to order from jetsrus... I'm Canadian (duh), with a verified PayPal account of 14 YEARS, same with eBay. I'd be paying in U.S. Dollars, and shipping to a U.S. Address...they only take PayPal (either account or CC payments)

Jetsrus won't sell to me unless I fill out their "International Shipping" forms, which also comes with higher shipping costs and added fees, EVEN if I am shipping to my US address. They claim a language barrier (last I heard the U.S. Speaks English just as I do) and a chance of fraud. Even tho I've been PayPal business verified for 14 YEARS, apparently I am a high fraud risk and by paying higher fees, according to them, makes me less of a risk.

Told them my money would be going some place else.... I guess the company is making so much money that losing sales doesn't matter to them.

Anyone that calls BS on this, I have the emails to prove it.

SO, off to another vendor that wants my business..

Is the only other place where I can get all my jets at the same place motorcyclecarbs?

To save some trail and error, where did you reroute the pull cable? I presume it's a complete removal and reroute?
