Default 200XCW and a plate

Anybody know if the 08 200XCWs can be plated like the 07 models?

Looking at one for my next bike in two or three years time, once i'm actually working. Figure I may as well get my facts straight now, so I can make a more educated purchase then.

Hey, T. The big question here is why would you want to do that? If you want a street legal bike, get one that can go awhile on its fuel and oil and not aggravate the natives while doing so. It's a fun idea to contemplate, but in reality, would most likely just compromise a good dirt bike off road and make a squirrely, ill-manored ride on the street. Save the trouble and get a good DP bike or a less expensive ride for the road and a really nasty dirt machine to yank out the kinks.

I was too lazy to Google it but it sounds like a KTM. Am I close?

Hahaha I was right. And its a 2 stroke too. Hmmm not sure if you can street legal it. But I have been told that you can do it to any KTM.

Bow hunting? How did that go? What are you hunting in your neck of the woods? Late buck ends tomorrow here in Washington. A friend of mine finally got a 2 point today. Good for him, he's been really patient.

as far as I know all KTM's still come with a street bike type title and all can be registered right off of the showroom floor. It is your responsibility to put on the proper lights ect. to make it pass DOT inspections. I have also thought about plating one on them, since I ride very little on the streets. Anyone know what kinda range you can get from a tank on one of these?

Thanks for the info.

If I ever got a 200 and plated it, it'd not be so I could ACTUALLY ride it on the road, but just to get to and from trails. I know when we ride Millilani, depending on where we park the truck, we sometimes have to go through the entire town just to get to the trailhead. Cops have never heckled us before, but better safe than sorry.

The only thing that sucks about the 200 is that there is no "e" offering this year. You have to step up to the 250 in you want an e.
