2009 model year changes?

Get a slightly used KLX250s drop a 351 kit, exhaust and either dynojet kit or of $$ permit a pumper carb and you will be a happy camper. if you can get a 2006-7 for 30-40% less than a 09 for the same milage then I think its a go. to me a used 08-09should be 30% off if its got no miles 40% if its got 2500 or less. Otherwise spend a little more on the 2011 when it comes out.
The problem with the 06-07 & the 08-09 is both of them have some specific parts that are for those two years only. The more years a bike stays essentialy the same the more I want to buy one becuase there will be more spares and more aftermarket parts available for the larger quantity of machines. Guess it would be nice to know which model they produced more of?
Cheers Jim

The 09-10 models have that gay rear fender/taillight situation that is really hard to make look right. It is as though they tries to go for a contemporary style and went too far and made it some sort of future bike. The earlier bikes had a more normal headlight as well. I worry about rocks breaking out the monster huge lense on my 09.
If both the 07 and 09 models were brand new and cost the same, I would probably buy the 07.

I guess if the 06-07 are simular to the 300 then thats a point in their favor.
-I dont know that the 2011 will be different but am guessing since they did not make a 2008 and then came out with the 09-10 model. Just speculation.

In Canada for 2011 all they did to the 250S is change the plastic's colour. Still carbed.
