Default 2009 KLX250S Winter Upgrades

Thanks to all on this forum for your suggestions and helpful advice on upgrades and various accessories.
Special thanks to DYNOBOB, IDRIDR, and DEEJ.
Because of all of you I've just completed all the below mods to my 2009 KLX250S.
I can't get out to ride now but I can tell already she's a new machine.

I've never been able to start it up and roll on the throttle without it stumbling until it was fully warm (5+ minutes).
Now I can fire it up, immediately shut off the choke and the throttle is immediately responsive.
She sounds sweet with the FMF Q4 and Powerbomb.

Anyone wishing to shine up there dull plastic try this product shown on the last picture (Holloway House Quick Shine). Clean plastic thoroughly and apply several coats of this stuff and she shines like crazy. Looks sweet.
Now I can't wait to get out and ride.

Thanks again for all the help and advice.

She looks nice. Thanks for the acknowledgment.
Looks cold out. Stay warm.
I may try that shine on the KLR. She has oxidized red plastics.

SWEET.

Rode my bike to our monthly dual sport riders dinner last week. Was glad I started it earlier in the day because I thought it was never going to start (40 deg out). Next day I pulled my carb and went through it. Added a washer under the stock needle, 7/32 hole in the slide, 2.75 turns on the screw, and cleaned idle jet w/ a stiff steel wire. Dug through my jet collection and found a Keh115 and Keh120 and a dynojet 118. Added them to the tool kit on the bike. Left the stock 118 in the bike for now. Haven't ridden it yet but the bike cold starts easy now.

Wow it does shine! Curious to see if it keeps mud and crap sticking to it.

Hummmm, could be wrong but thought I purchased an enduro?

I go from waxing the Goldwing right over to the Kawasaki out of habit......
Since I can't afford a snowmobile also.......not much else to do here during the Winter but wrench & clean.

She sure looks sweet, doesn't she?

Thumbs up

Got the first long ride in on the KLX today since all my winter upgrades.....

Man.....she's a brand new bike. The acceleration and ride-ability is dramatically improved.
Absolutely instantaneous start-up and throttle response.
Sure love that TCI windshield.....makes hitting the pavement at speed a pleasure rather than a trip in a wind tunnel.

This forum and members are awesome.......would of never done it without the advise of you people here.
