Default 2009 KLX250S Radiator Fan

How often should I expect the Radiator Fan to kick in ?

Yesterday was around 27C and I was riding stop start in traffic for almost an hour and mine never came on.

The engine "felt" pretty hot, but with no temperture gauge it is hard to tell.

Should I be concerned ?

No. It never gets hot enough over there to fry an egg on ya bonnet let alone fry a KLX. Thats why I moved over here. "Egg sarnie anyone? Pass the HP.. "

Nah, its all good.
My fan hardly ever comes on even at temps well above 35.
I have only noticed it come on when I'm stuck in the woods in first or second gear.

27, When is winter over and summer starting?

in over 12,000 miles, mine has only came on once. It was 100 degrees out, and I was in first gear on a technical trail.

I've only had it come on once or twice in tight technical woods when it's 85° out and I'm just basically idling along a trail.

Other than that, it's pretty much just for decoration.

94F ambient a couple weekends ago, picking our way through rock gardens and it came on briefly, then shut off after we started winding things back up on the dirt.

My fan comes on every time I ride her, its only 35 - 42 C with 100% humidity this time of year. I would not worry about it unless you see her bleeding the green stuff then I'd say u might have a small issue.

Worry if the red temp light comes on.
And if the red light is on and still no fan

When the engine temp gets to 100c the fan will come on, simple.
